Elisabeth Thorpe, LCMHC 

Elisabeth is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and founder of Brightminds Counseling New Hampshire PLLC. She received her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Assumption College with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. Assumption College is home to the Aaron T. Beck Institute for Cognitive Studies and incorporates a CBT training approach throughout its curriculum.

 

Elisabeth is passionate about offering effective, high quality treatment that is uniquely tailored to client needs. She has worked in the mental health field for past 10 years across various levels of care including in-home services, residential treatment, and outpatient mental health services. 

 

Elisabeth provides therapy to children, teens, and adults. She frequently works with young adults and college-age students to promote resiliency and stress management. In addition to in person sessions, Elisabeth is also well versed in offering video teletherapy and completes remote sessions through a secure video healthcare platform. 

Sophia Dongas, LCMHC

Sophia is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Founder of Arete Counseling PLLC. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Classics and Psychology from the University of New Hampshire Durham in 1998. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from the University of New Hampshire Durham in 2007. She is fluent in Greek.

 

Sophia has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years across various levels of care, including, in-home services, residential treatment and outpatient mental health services. She provides individual therapy, couples counseling and family therapy. She also has experience in School Guidance at both the Middle School and High School levels.

 

Her therapeutic approach draws on her background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Multicultural Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Rogerian Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy and Psychodrama. 

 

Sophia works with children, teens and adults of all ages. She believes that life is a journey and that therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist.
